WASHINGTON, D.C. – As a part of his ongoing efforts to keep the people of Maine informed of his work in the nation’s capital, U.S. Senator Angus King sat down to share this week’s events in Washington.

• A press conference he participated in highlighting the benefits of the Affordable Care Act for individuals affected by cancer and for those living with pre-existing conditions.
• A budget committee hearing on the President’s 2015 budget proposal during which he pressed Sylvia Burwell, Director of the Office of Management and Budget, for greater focus on repairing and maintaining our nation’s infrastructure.
• The evolving situation in Ukraine and the need to avoid rushing into commitments.
