WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senators Susan Collins and Angus King announced today that the National Institutes of Health will grant $1,993,006 to support research by the Jackson Laboratory Center for Precision Genetics.
“The research conducted by Jackson Laboratory has led to groundbreaking discoveries in unlocking the human genome,” said Senators Collins and King in a joint statement. “This funding will help ensure that Jackson Labs has the resources they need to improve human health and continue to be at the forefront of genetic research.”
This funding was awarded by the National Institutes of Health as part of the Specialized Center Grant Program, which supports centers that serve as regional or national resources for specialized research.
