WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senators Susan Collins and Angus King congratulated the Loyal Biscuit Co., a small business in Maine, on their selection as the State Small Business Award Winner of 2015. This award, a part of U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) 52nd National Small Business Week (May 4-8), highlights the impact and accomplishments of American small businesses.

“Innovative small businesses across our state and country are critical engines of economic growth and are the largest creators of good-paying American jobs," said Senators Collins and King in a joint statement. "We are very proud that Heidi Neal and her company, The Loyal Biscuit Co., have been recognized by the Small Business Administration as the State Small Business Award Winner of 2015 for the state of Maine.”

The United States' 28 million small businesses create two out of every three net new private sector jobs and employ half of America’s private sector workforce.
