WASHINGTON, D.C. – In a continued effort to keep Mainers informed of his work in Washington, D.C., U.S. Senator Angus S. King, Jr. (I-ME) took a moment to recap the events of this past week in the U.S. Senate. In his message, Senator King addresses:
o His first piece of legislation, the Biomass Thermal Utilization Act of 2013, which recognizes and promotes the economic and environmental benefits of thermal biomass energy.
o His Targeted Strike Oversight Reform Act, introduced with Senator Marco Rubio, which requires that an independent alternative analysis, commonly referred to as a “red-team analysis,” be conducted if the government is considering the legality or the use of targeted lethal force against a known U.S. person.
