BRUNSWICK, ME – U.S. Senator Angus King (I-Maine) today surprised fourth grade student Molly Taub and her classmates at Harriet Beecher Stowe Elementary School. King was on his way to an event in Bowdoin this morning when he stopped by to greet Molly who had selected him for the topic of a school project and written a handwritten note asking him to meet her and her classmates.
“It was a lot of fun to meet the fantastic students at Harriet Beecher Stowe Elementary and surprise Molly. I really enjoyed talking with them about our government and how important it is to be involved,” said Senator King. “I think Maine has a very bright future.”
King spoke to Molly and her classmates about what it’s like to be a United States Senator, how government works, and the importance of being involved.
