WASHINGTON, D.C. – The office of U.S. Senator Angus King (I-Maine) released the following statement today after the Supreme Court decision allowing same-sex couples to marry in all fifty states:
“Senator King believes that ending discrimination against same-sex couples is fair and right,” Scott Ogden, spokesman for Senator King said. “And today, he is filled with pride for all of the brave men and women who have fought tirelessly to end discrimination and who have stood up in the face of intolerance and prejudice. He congratulates them on this momentous occasion.”
