King, Pingree, Golden Announce Applications are Open to fill Judicial Vacancies in Maine

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Senator Angus King and Representatives Chellie Pingree and Jared Golden announced they will convene an advisory committee to review and provide recommendations to President Biden on candidates to fill a vacancy on the United States District Court for the District of Maine and a vacancy on the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit:

Senator Angus King and Representatives Chellie Pingree and Jared Golden announce applications are open for the upcoming vacancies for United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Maine and United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

Senator King, Congresswoman Pingree and Congressman Golden have convened an advisory committee to review and provide recommendations to President Biden on candidates to serve as United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Maine due to the upcoming retirement of Judge John Levy and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit due to the upcoming retirement of Judge William Kayatta, Jr.

Interested candidates for either opening should send a resume, cover letter, and two letters of reference to Pingree.resume@mail.house.gov by 5 pm on Friday, December 15th, 2023. Applicants that are selected to interview with the committee will take place January 4th-6th, 2024.
