King Calls on President to Declassify Information Regarding Russia and the U.S. Election

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Angus King (I-Maine) today joined several of his colleagues on the Senate Intelligence Committee in sending a letter to President Obama urging him to declassify information relating to the Russian government and the U.S. election.

“We believe there is additional information concerning the Russian Government and the U.S. election that should be declassified and released to the public,” Senator King and his colleagues wrote in their letter. “We are conveying specifics through classified channels.”

U.S. Senator Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) led the letter and fellow Intelligence Committee members Senators Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.), Mark Warner (D-Va.), Martin Heinrich, (D-N.M.), Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii), and ex-officio member Sen. Jack Reed (D-R.I.) also joined the letter.

The complete letter is available HERE.
