Collins, King Applaud Argo Marketing, iYogi Partnership

Is Expected to Bring Hundreds of Jobs to Lewiston-Auburn Area

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senators Susan Collins and Angus King welcomed the announcement that Argo Marketing of Maine and iYogi of India have partnered to set up a global service delivery center in Lewiston. This partnership between the world’s largest independent consumer tech support brand and the Maine marketing company is expected to bring a significant number of jobs to the area.

“This welcome partnership between Maine’s Argo Marketing and India’s iYogi is great news for the Lewiston-Auburn area and great news for the Maine economy as a whole,” said Senators Collins and King in a joint statement. “We are pleased that iYogi has recognized the strength of our work ethic here in Maine and the potential for growth in the Pine Tree State.”

iYogi, an “Internet of Things” company, provides subscription-based technical support for a variety of equipment including personal computers, cell phones, tablets, and software. The company employs more than 4,000 people and this will be their first service delivery center in North America. iYogi researched and evaluated a number of locations across the country before selecting Argo Marketing in Maine as its choice for this new partnership. Argo Marketing has two additional operations in Pittsfield and Portland, and recently completed a major renovation of McRory’s department store in Lewiston.

Maine & Company, a non-profit corporation that provides free and confidential services to companies looking to relocate or expand in the state, helped to forge this new partnership. There will be a job fair for the new positions created by this partnership on Monday, July 13th at the Lewiston Career Center.
