WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senators Susan Collins and Angus King today announced that the Bradley Volunteer Fire Department will receive a federal grant in the amount of $55,610 from the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program (AFG). Specifically, the funding will come through the Operations and Safety Program.
“Maine communities often depend on small, volunteer fire departments like the one in Bradley to help keep their residents safe,” Senators Collins and King said in a joint statement. “In turn, these fire departments depend on federal firefighter grants to help keep them trained, equipped, and able to perform their important duties.”
AFG grants are administered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
