WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senators Susan Collins and Angus King announced today that the Economic Development Administration (EDA) has awarded the Maine International Trade Center and Maine Department of Economic and Community Development a grant in the amount of $812,823 to support the development of the “Invest in Maine” program, which aims to attract foreign investment in the fields of renewable energy, aerospace, food production, and life sciences to Maine.
“This grant is welcome news for Maine. By leveraging private investments, it will help to create a strategic plan that will promote innovation, support economic development, and lead to the creation of jobs,” Senators Collins and King said in a joint statement.
