The American Rescue Plan delivered nearly $1 trillion for working families trying to make ends meet during the COVID-19 pandemic – $2.17 billion to Maine families alone.
This aid came in the form of:
- $1,400 direct Economic Impact Payments to over 700,000 Maine people.
- Expanded Child and Earned Income Tax Credits that will lift more than 10,000 Maine children out of poverty.
- A 15% percent SNAP benefit increase through September 2021.
